FAQ
-
How far can CustoTag track?
Within Bluetooth range (around 60 feet). If it’s out of range, you can still see its last known location on the map — and Apple’s Find My network (millions of Apple devices) helps you find it securely and privately.
-
Does it need internet or GPS?
No — it uses Bluetooth to track live, and shows last known GPS when connected.
-
How do I reset my CustoTag?
Open the CustoTag in your Find My app and scroll to the bottom. Click on "remove Item" to remove the CustoTag from your iCloud account.
-
Can I replace the battery myself?
Yes! You can easily change the batteries yourself. No service center visit needed. You can also opt for the lifetime battery subscription, in which you receive batteries for as long as you have your CustoTag.
-
Can I use multiple tags with one phone?
Yes, pair up to 8 CustoTags through the app
-
Is it waterproof?
While the CustoTag is IP23 water resistant, we do not suggest taking it near water.
-
How long does the battery last?
The CR2032 battery lasts 8-12 months based on your usage. You can also purchase a lifetime battery subscription with the CustoTag.
-
What happens if I lose an item with the CustoTag attached?
You can mark it as Lost in the Find My app. When another Apple device comes near your tag, its location will automatically and securely update in your app — and if someone finds it, they can scan it to see your contact info (if you’ve allowed it).
